Lunch at The Sweet Dynasty 糖朝 at Tsim Sha Tsui

This is one of my favourite restaurants in HK. They have a lot of varieties of nice HK food. A lot of my colleagues didn't like it because they think that the price is expensive.

My favourite dish, dried fish, peanut and salted meat congee

I definitely will order this if I visit this restaurant.

Stir fried turnip pudding with shrimps

First time ordering this, really not nice. Will not and should not order again.

Sauteed prawns with walnut

This is nice, especially the walnut.

Baked fried durian pastry

I find this really nice, since I like durian. Yummy.

Mango pudding and mango coconut sago

Free dessert for visa cardholders. Yay.

Dinner at Lian 蓮 IFC

Can't think of where to eat dinner where I do not need to queue up, because very tired walking the whole day at the book fair, so went to Lian. This meal cost HK$366 for 2 person, really expensive. Food is OK, ambience is nice, but not a restaurant that I will frequently visit. Once in a year or two will be reasonable.

Thai Pamelo Salad

This is unexpectedly spicy especially if you accidentally eat the chilli powder. But is it very nice and a must order if I visit this restaurant.

"Pad Thai" - Thai fried seafood noodle

Taste quite good.

Tomato soup crabmeat vermicelli

Taste normal only and very expensive for this price, I think HK$89+10%. Will not order again.

Mango glutinous rice with coconut

This is quite nice, also a must order...but I didn't find it that nice tonight, maybe because I am too full already.

The nice ambience, water with floating flowers at the middle of the table

Hong Kong Book Fair and pseudo model, 靚模

I visited the HK Book Fair for the first time after so many years in Hong Kong. I need to visit to understand why so many like to visit the fair, is the price really that cheap? Upon reaching, I can feel the crowd, there must be thousands of people and it is so hard for me to move around, not to mention having a look at the books.

I was also particularly interested to have a look at the pictorial books by those pseudo model, 靚模. Their "sexy" posters are everywhere and although there are so many people, I still managed to see 3 pseudo models, pretending to act as "buyer" at the book stalls and happily sign autograph for people requesting for them. Why do they need to be so desperate? Because they are banned from holding autograph sessions by the organisers this year. They must be very tired pretending too, I was there from about 1pm to 7 pm, and saw them a few times at different book stalls. This is amazing as they managed to make a presence and make themselves "noticeable" although there are so many hundreds of thousands of people.

I still managed to buy few books, not sure whether it is cheap or not. 2 desserts books and 3 mini cooking books. Hehe, I shall try the recipe, I promise myself, in the next 20 years...haha....

Pseudo model (靚模) pretending to buy books, I seriously don't think they are pretty, so far I only think that AngelaBaby and Janice Man is pretty.

Miki Yeung (former Cookies member)

I unexpectedly saw Miki, it was so crowded with her fans, didn't manage to see her at a near distance. She is MUCH MORE prettier than those pseudo model (靚模). This proves a person does not necessarily wear skimpy dresses to attract attention.

Chrissie Chow's van to sign autograph

Policemen summon the van illegally parked at the entrance...haha....

Chrissie Chow's company parked a van outside the bookfair venue for her to hold autograph session since she was not allowed to enter the bookfair venue. I can only say that these people are creative. See the picture where the policemen summon their van for illegal parking...haha....
