I saw Andy Lau 劉德華 in Hong Kong International Airport today

I took the 5.40pm Cathay Pacific flight from Kuala Lumpur back to Hong Kong. I reached KLIA at about 4.20pm to check in. As usual, the staff is so inefficient and I waited for at least 5 minutes while she was waiting and doing nothing at the counter. She was talking to her colleague and said "Andy Lau pun belum sampai" (Andy Lau have not reached) and I was not sure what she was referring to.

I arrived at HKIA at about 9.50pm and went to collect my luggage. I went straight to the front of the luggage belt and waited. Suddenly I heard someone saying, "eh, it's Andy Lau, Let's take picture". I immediately recalled what the check in staff said and looked towards my left hand direction and saw Andy Lau. I took out my camera immediately, within 5 seconds and walked towards Andy. I said "Andy, can I take a picture with you" and he smiled and nodded. I immediately asked someone nearby to hold the camera and he took the picture for us.

After that, a few more people took picture with him, and kids even asked for autograph. An onlooker wanted to take picture of him and he told her not to do so. He was actually very friendly, smiling all the way and willing to take pictures even though he did not make up. He is not too tall in person and he looked older (although it is a fact) because he looked pretty young on TV.

Although I did not really like him compared to other actors, but I was happy that I managed to take picture with him because he is really popular!!!

My Trip On Superstar Virgo, Singapore - 25 to 27 August 2010

Day 1

I took the 2:50pm firefly flight to S'pore on 25 Aug. Firefly is so much better than Air Asia, we can save travelling time since we just need to go to Subang Airport instead of KLIA and there is no delay at all for the flight. I reached S'pore at about 5:10pm and took the shuttle bus from budget terminal to terminal 2. I then took the MRT from Changi to Harbourfront... departed 5:20pm and reached at 5:50pm. As expected, it was really convenient and cheap to travel in S'pore. I had dinner at Vivo city and then went to Harbourfront Shopping Complex to wait for boarding. We arrived at the cruise terminal at 7:20pm but the boarding time starts at 8:00pm.

I waited for a while and then heard an announcement that we actually need to check in before boarding. The queue was long but luckily passengers for Balcony Class has another shorter queue. It took me about 15 min to check in and then queued up for boarding. I started boarding at about 8:20pm.

The room is ok, but not really nice. The bathroom was small but the water pressure for the shower is high, so I had a good time bathing. I went for dinner at about 10pm at Mediterranean Terrace, after taking a short tour  at the cruise. The food is so so only.

Day 2

I woke up the next morning at 9.45am, and left immediately for breakfast because the breakfast session is until 10am only. Today is mainly eating, eating and eating. I went to Bella Vista for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The service was really slow. It was buffet style, but we can only order 1 set at a time separately for appetizer, main course or dessert. I went back to the room to rest and overslept in the afternoon. I woke up in time at about 7:10pm to see the sunset, which lasted for about 1 minute only.

The night programme of watching the Rasputin performance was the best part of this cruise trip. The performance starts from 9pm and lasted till 9:50pm. I regretted arriving late at 9:20pm and missed part of the performance, all because of the slow service in Bella Vista restaurant (we had our dinner from 7:30pm to 9:20pm !!!) The Rasputin performance had mixture of acrobatics, dance and "gymnastic" kind of performance.

We had chocolate party buffet at 10pm at the deck and I went to the "Galaxy of Stars" to listen to music and watch the crew dancing till 12am, and then went for supper again before I went back to sleep.

5 meals today - breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, supper - it's difficult not to put on weight!

Day 3

We had to check out from the room at 12pm and leave the cruise at 1pm. I went to Vivo City and had fruit tart at Fruit Tart Shop, it was really delicious....It has cheese base or chocolate base. I started ordering 1 tart, then added another one.

I don't have anywhere to check in my luggage in advance, so had to travel from 2pm to 8pm with the luggage. I left Vivo City at about 3pm and reached Bugis at about 4pm. I went to Bugis Junction and then to Bugis Street and ate there. I went to Changi Airport at 6pm+ and reached the airport at about 7pm.

Recent New Korea Drama Recommendation and Review

Prosecutor Princess

The rating was not that great but I choose to watch this drama first as I like Kim So Yun. I find this drama really interesting, perhaps I like this kind of genre, although some of my colleagues didn't like it.

The story is about Ma Hye Ri, from a rich family became a prosecutor because being forced by her dad. She wears fashionable clothing to work, what you won't expect from a prosecutor. The male lead, Seo In Wook is interesting too. Although he is not handsome, but his character is really cool, clever, rich, humorous, thoughtful, caring etc.

Overall, I do like this drama :)

Personal Taste

I had high expectation on this drama because of the storyline. A guy, pretending to be a gay, to become housemate of a woman. Fresh storyline plus pretty lead actress and handsome lead actor. However, the story was quite flat, I think, since I don't have the urge to continue watching after each episode (chase for the next episode)

Lee Min Ho's acting is much better compared to his acting in Boys Over Flower. I thought he can't act in BOF, but realised he can actually act in this drama. This drama is worth watching too especially in watching the handsome Lee Min Ho and pretty Son Ye Jin.

Oh! My Lady

Have not watch this, but will watch this after Prosecutor Princess. Not sure whether it is not or not, but I kind of like the story. A popular singer and her "manager" who falls in love. I don't think Chae Rim is pretty here and matches Choi Si Won, but I am looking forward to this drama because I like Choi Si Won.

Baker King Kim Tak Goo

I have not watched this, but this drama get very high rating in Korea and it is still airing. Rating exceeded 40% which is amazing, when normal dramas only get 10+% rating at the most and some get <10%. It's a story about 2 stepbrother from rich family, their feud etc. I don't know any of the lead actor and actresses except Eugene. I like her, but too bad, she will be acting as a villian.

It should be worth watching due to the extremely high ratings.

My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho (Gumiho= vixen in chinese drama) - Highly Recommended

I am already looking forward to this drama since the script was written by famous writer who wrote my famous dramas (e.g. You Are Beautiful, My Sassy Girl Chun Hyang). The story is about a guy who has a gumiho girlfriend. The girlfriend will have supernatural powers and should be a very funny drama. I like Lee Seung Gi (not handsome but have good image) and Shin Min Ah (not very pretty but passable).

I can already rate this drama now, even though it has only aired 4 episodes and I have not watched it.

Sungkyungkwan Scandal

This drama has not aired but I am looking forward to it, mainly because of the interesting storyline. People said it is the historical version of you are beautiful. It is about a girl who dresses as a guy to study in a school. And naturally, she will fall in love with the student there. It sounds like chinese version of "Butterfly Lover". It also stars Micky Yoochoon of TVXQ (my favourite Korean artist). The lead actress is not very pretty but looks innocent and likeable.

Mischievous Kiss

This is the Korean version of Taiwanese It Started With A Kiss. I didn't like the Taiwan version although it had very high rating, and am not looking forward to this Korean version. The lead is Kim Hyung Jung, and he can't convince me he can act in BOF. Hopefully his acting skills will improve in this drama. The lead actress is really not pretty too. Ariel Lin is much prettier.

Hence, I am not anticipating this drama, will try to watch but doubt that I will be addicted to it.

I think I am so good at shopping that I can accurately judge whether will the clothes look nice on me without even trying....90% accurate. I can also accurately predict whether the clothes are made in Korea or imitated by China factory.
